A couple of weeks ago the Parish Clan decided to go to Salt Lake for a little gathering and bonding time. Little did we know that the REAL soccer team had picked the same weekend to host the Madrid soccer team to a match. There was not a single hotel room available from Logan to Provo for the nights of August 11 and August 12 under $200 a night. Not quite in our budget!
A change of plans and disbanding went into effect. Everyone was to go their own ways because Chris and Deidra were to work at the game they needed to stay in Utah, Brent is buried with harvest so Karisa didn't want to go far, Nikkala got on the internet and was looking at coastal destinations. Warren, Patrice, and Tameka were thinking Boise way. The ball started rolling again.
Then Con Haycock came to Warren's shop for a little work to be done. After Warren and Con visited for awhile the Parishs' were invited to Island Park. A change of plans again!
Island Park is what finally happened for Warren, Patrice, Tameka, Nikkala, Chod, and Bentley. It was a very low key, nap taking get away. Warren, Chod and Tameka went fishing at Henry's Lake in the float tubes. They had a good time and luckily didn't have to bring any fish home!
A mother moose and her calf visited us each day coming right up to the windows of the cabin. They surely destroyed the foliage, but they were fun to watch that closely. Tameka has pictures so maybe we can talk her into posting some.
